Auditions for KPA’s June production are held every November during the performing season. Auditions are open to KPA students age 10+. 

There are a variety of roles to audition for in KPA’s productions: large or small speaking roles, non-speaking roles, vocal solos/duets, vocal ensemble, set dancing, advanced audition dancing, and backstage tech & crew. Auditioning is a $100.00 fee.  

Accepting a role in a KPA production involves a rehearsal commitment. All rehearsals primarily run on Saturday afternoons starting in January. Students who are not part of the main cast will not be required every Saturday but will be emailed a clear rehearsal schedule of when they are needed. 

Partial day full dress rehearsals will start in late May. Full-day off-site dress rehearsals will take place in mid-June. Actors and dancers will be required to commit to some time off of school (mid week during production week for cue-to-cue, blocking, dress rehearsals, a school performance and production filming).
