Designed for young writers, this class introduces the building blocks of great stories through engaging activities and guided writing exercises. Students will explore how to create memorable characters, build exciting plots and bring their ideas to life using vivid descriptions and enriched vocabulary. Various types of writing will be explored depending on the focus of the session. These can include, but are not limited to, short stories, poetry, and imaginative scenes. While students can use a pencil and paper (with a scanner), it is highly recommended that students use a laptop OR tablet for in-class use and at home.

The October /November 8-week session will focus on a collaborative writing project for the Homeschool Hub drama program. No prior writing experience is needed – just a willingness to imagine, create and have fun!
