Based on a Chinese legend, Mulan tells the story of a young girl named Fa Mulan.  After China is invaded, Mulan’s father is asked to go to war. Fearful that her father will be killed, Mulan disguises herself as a man to save him and prove herself to her family and community.

In June 2018, KaRAR Performing Arts brought Mulan’s story to the stage following her journey into war. Partnering with the Edmonton Chinese Dance Academy, Hong De Cultural and Athletic Association and Fly Free Movement, KaRAR brought honour to Mulan’s story and dazzled audiences in a production that no one will soon forget.
