The Learning Tree

Your Child

Kids are natural and enthusiastic learners, and it is our mandate to provide a safe and comfortable environment, with companions and friends, in which social interactions and creative experiences will be provided.

Your Educator

Natalie Dyck, Founder of KaRAR Performing Arts, has been a qualified Early Childhood Educator since 1996. Natalie’s personal educational philosophy stems from the understanding that all children naturally learn when actively stimulated by their environment.

The Program

The Learning Tree programming provides social, emotional and intellectual stimulation through free play, group interaction, concept building, sensory stimulation, artistic expression, creative movement, problem-solving and development of self help skills. Our 2.5 hour program consists of learning centres & free discovery, where developmentally appropriate activities are available for the students to actively participate in; these activities will introduce and reinforce developmental skills on an individual level. A group circle time will consist of a variety of children’s songs, stories, finger play, learning of concepts, and music and movement. The preschoolers will be encouraged to actively participate in discussion of the weather, calendar, storytime, and our theme. Activity and craft time will be based on the program theme and seasonal activities, and our creative movement time will be sourcedthrough non-performing dance based movement, large group games, and gross motor activities.

“The Learning Tree is one of the best preschool programs our children have attended. The balance of creativity, learning and fun is a sure-fire blend for any child to grow and be supported.”Avelyn Nicol, Parkland County
